A power screwdriver may not be the most expensive tool you ever buy but it certainly could prove to be one of the most useful.
Whether you are a handy man or a professional contractor a power screwdriver is one tool everyone needs in their arsenal of tools.
Cordless Power Screwdriver
Using a normal screwdriver is okay for small quick applications but when things get a bit tougher that format just doesn't work anymore. We live in a society where time is very valuable and with power tools you will save a lot of time when it comes to projects of any length.
You may think a power screwdriver is just basic and you wouldn't have a lot to choose from. Well that isn't the truth actually.
You really do need to take your time when shopping to make sure you do some comparisons and get what you need or better.
When it comes to tools I really don't recommend cheaping out and buying the cheapest ones you can find. A few dollars could very well make the difference between a power screwdriver that works for 6 months as compared to one that may last for 10 years.
Just remember we are not talking about drills here. A power screwdriver is meant for applications that aren't tough enough to require a drill but still too tough for a conventional screwdriver.
Years ago you didn't have a lot of choices. The tools were built out of hard molded plastic as compared to now when you can get the screwdrivers that are built for comfort in case you will be doing a lot of work with them.
You can also get them with a swivel head that makes almost any application possible. So no matter where the screw is in most cases you will be able to get at it.
Something else you need to think about when using any power or hand tools is personal safety. A power screwdriver may not seem that dangerous and for the most part they aren't. It is important however for your safety to make sure you follow manufactures guidelines to safe usage.
Eye protection is always a must when you are doing any kind of work that requires any kind of tool. Just remember you only have two eyes and they are something that cant be replaced after you lose them.
At the end of the day take your time on your purchase. keep in mind the kinds of applications you will need the tools for.
Even though it is only a power screwdriver when you walk out of the store with it you need to be happy with your purchase
